Why that grade Payout figures are drawn from general knowledge of publicly reported class-action settlement amounts rather than a single audited dataset. Course-seller index 1/10.
Figures are researched estimates, not guarantees. Check local rules before you trade.
Why anybody pays for this
Companies that settle class-action lawsuits are legally required to distribute the settlement fund to eligible class members, and a large share of eligible people never file a claim, meaning honest, diligent filers get a real (if modest) payout.
This is educational information, not a return projection. Most settlement payouts range from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars per claimant; occasionally a major settlement pays $100-5,000+ per eligible claimant.
Good fit if
Anyone willing to spend a small amount of ongoing time monitoring settlement notices and filing eligible claims.
Skip it if
Anyone tempted to file for something they aren't actually eligible for — that's fraud, not a side income strategy.
What actually goes wrong
There is essentially no financial risk if you only file for things you're genuinely eligible for — the only real caution is that filing false or ineligible claims is fraud, which carries its own separate legal risk.
Third-party 'claim filing services' that take a cut are unnecessary — filing directly is free and just as easy in the vast majority of cases.
